The difference between the internal and the external sinus lift is solely in the operation. The internal sinus lift is much easier and takes few minutes only. In case the patient does not have the proper state of the jaw in places where implants are supposed to be fitted, which means that the bone is too narrow or not deep enough (high), in that case so called sinus lift and bone augmentation are being performed – bone transplantation (own or artificial) in order to upgrade or place the bone tissue. Several months after the bone augmentation implant placement is being performed.
In areas of inadequate bone height the Sinus Lift makes the implantation possible.
The internal sinus lift extends the implant treatment for five minutes only.
After a successful sinus lift in most cases an immediate implant placement is possible.
